The city’s Fee Schedule, per Resolution #20-1543, was adopted on December 22, 2020, and updated March 2022.

Additional Resources

The City provides access to lien search requestors, for a fee, through an online system called Net Assets Corporation. We use their Conduits service for property lien searches. All properties within the city that have outstanding liens are listed on the Conduits website.

In order to gain access to Conduits, please contact Net Assets Corporation at 541-485-8876 or email support@netassets.com.

Call customer service at 503-838-1212 for current outstanding utility balances. These may not be included in the lien docket but are the responsibility of the property owner. Any outstanding utility bills are automatic liens against the property.

The City of Independence carries out annual audits to examine our financial records, adherence to state laws, regulations, internal policies, procedures, and management’s handling of public resources. Additionally, audits are conducted on specific federal funds received throughout the year. Our city places a strong emphasis on accountability and compliance with laws and regulations that govern the smooth functioning of our initiatives.

We are proud of our audit outcomes and are committed to refining our procedures to enhance effectiveness and efficiency.
