This one and one half story residence is L shaped in plan. It has an intersecting gable roof with a shed dormer and composition shingles. Weatherboard siding with corner boards sheaths the exterior. A concrete block foundation supports the building. The windows are one over one double hung wood sash with projecting cornices, on the south elevation. There is a porch covered with hip roof which is supported by square posts and a solid balustrade. The shed roof dormer and hip roof parch are later additions, c. 1910. The building faces west on the corner of South Third Street and "B" Street and is in excellent condition. Early residents of the building were the Hinkle family. Emma Hinkle was born in the building in 1896.
