This one and one half story residence is rectangular in plan and has a gable roof with composition shingles. Weatherboard siding covers the exterior. The windows are one over one double hung wood sash with aluminum storm windows. A large fixed pane window has been added to the front elevation. A small porch projects from the front elevation and is embellished with turned porch post. A side entrance is located on the north elevation. The building faces east on the corner of South Third and "A" Street and is in good condition. The building was constructed by Buster Schofield around 1938. Later occupants in the 1940's were Roy and Eloise Morris. Morris was an insurance agent in Independence.
