This one story residence is asymmetrical in plan and has a truncated hip roof with flared eaves and brackets. Shiplap siding sheaths the exterior. The windows are elongated one over one double hung wood sash with decorative cornices. There is a polygonal bay window with a hip roof and corner pilasters on the east elevation. The front door has a blind transom light. There is a hip roof porch with plain posts on the front elevation. The corbelled chimney pot has been removed. The building faces east on the corner of South Fourth Street and "E" Street and is in fair condition.

The building was originally owned by a Mr. Weber. A later occupant was Ollie Beck, a relative of Sidney Newton, a local Independence historian.
