This one story residence is U shaped in plan and has an intersecting gable roof with parallel gables which is covered with composition shingles. Shiplap siding sheaths the exterior. A concrete foundation supports the building. The windows are double hung wood sash with nine over one and twenty-four over one lights. The building has wide eaves, exposed rafters and purlins. The building faces east on South Main Street and is in excellent condition. The building was occupied by George Ploub at one time. Ploub owned a repair shop in downtown Independence.
