Just about anywhere you dig, there could be services buried underground - water, sewer, electricity, natural gas. Homeowners and contractors can prevent damage to underground utilities and prevent service interruptions by calling the Oregon Utility Notification Center at least two working days prior to excavating. The various utility companies will be notified to mark out the location of their lines within two working days of notification.
