Broken clouds, mist
Riverview Park is the largest park in Independence. Located downtown between C and B Street, the park is home to the Independence Amphitheater and a large playground. For mapping purposes, use 50 C Street to locate the park and provide driving directions.
Completed in 2005, the Riverview Park Amphitheater is the centerpiece of Riverview Park. In 2008, a sparkling fountain was added to the Plaza Level, welcoming visitors to Independence. The amphitheater hosts numerous events including the 8 week River's Edge summer movie and concert series. Riverview Park is also the starting point for the Willamette River Trail, a 5k soft-surface path that loops north along the Willamette River providing excellent river views and birdwatching. In 2014 a disc golf course was installed in Riverview Park. In 2015, the Independence Biker/Boater Campground opened.
Portions of the park and amphitheater can be rented by private individuals or organizations for private or public events. The City's portable stage is also available for rent. Policies and forms related to park rentals are listed below.
