On October 10, 2022 (from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM), the City of Independence will host a virtual panel discussion that seeks to answer the question:

The panel will include affordable housing providers, local developers, and the City’s consultant for the Housing Needs Analysis Project.

Key questions the panel will address include:

– Are housing costs just a problem in Independence?

– Why are prices so high?

– What is affordable housing?

– Does the City of Independence or the larger region have enough affordable housing now? If not, why?
