Today, we celebrated Arbor Day with a tree planting along the bank of the Willamette River Trail. City staff rolled up their sleeves to plant trees that will provide shade, improve the trail experience, and support the natural beauty that surrounds Independence. Mayor Schwarzler stopped by to lend a hand and support the efforts to keep our riverfront vibrant and welcoming.
