Independence Days is just around the corner, and this year’s celebration is packed with upbeat live entertainment, vibrant vendors, and wholesome family activities. From the the rubber ducky derby on the Willamette River, to the fireworks and live entertainment and everything in between—there’s something for everyone.
Wristbands are your all-access pass to the fun on July 3 and 4, and a wristband is required for each individual day you plan to attend. They’re $10 each, but residents of Independence and Monmouth can get them for just $5 from June 2 to 27. Discounted wristbands are available at the Independence Civic Center and Polk County Fire District No. 1. Just bring proof of residence like an ID, utility bill, or a piece of mail. The $5 price is limited to six wristbands per family. You can also purchase wristbands at the Independence Public Library and the Monmouth-Independence YMCA.
