As an Oregon police agency, we abide by all applicable state laws, including those that guide our role in immigration matters. Simply put, Oregon law prohibits local police from helping to enforce federal immigration laws without an order signed by a judge. Our primary focus, as always, is public safety, crime prevention, and ensuring that all residents feel safe reporting crimes and seeking assistance without fear.
