MAY 2025

  • An officer was refueling his patrol vehicle when he noticed the driver at the next pump was someone he had recently arrested for DUII. A records check showed the driver’s license was still suspended. After making several excuses, the individual acknowledged their prior poor decisions and was taken to jail.
  • One student initiated a fight in the school cafeteria by sneaking up behind another student and repeatedly punching them in the head. The aggressor, an 18-year-old student, was arrested and taken to jail.
  • A driver was reported circling the Central Plaza parking lot while yelling at a pedestrian that they were “on so many drugs.” Responding officers found the driver exhibiting signs of drug intoxication. The individual was taken into custody and later transported to jail.
  • Neighbors reported suspicious activity at a vacant house and that someone had claimed they intended to take possession through “squatter’s rights.” Despite a previous warning about trespassing, the individual changed the locks, opened utility accounts, and began renovating the interior. The individual was arrested and taken to jail.
  • Two individuals were arrested after one was seen puncturing a tire belonging to a former employer, while the other observed the act. Surveillance footage confirmed their involvement, and both were booked into jail.
  • Officers responded to a disturbance where an intoxicated individual had attacked a neighbor with a garden rake and continued the altercation by punching and scratching others on their property. The suspect was arrested and taken to jail.
  • During a traffic stop for a seat belt violation, an officer discovered firearms in the vehicle. The driver, who had a felony conviction, was prohibited from possessing firearms. The firearms were seized, the driver was arrested, and it was also determined there was no insurance on the vehicle.
