Notice of proposed modification to the methodology for calculating system development charges

Pursuant to ORS 223.304 (6) & (7), public notice is hereby given of the City of Independence’s intent to change the methodology for calculating System Development Charges (SDCs) for water services.  A public hearing on the new methodology is scheduled before the Independence City Council on February 27, 2024.  The proposed methodology will be available for public review at the City’s web site and at Independence city hall no later than December 27, 2023.  The city hall street address is 555 South Main Street, Independence Oregon 97351.  Questions concerning this matter can be referred to Gerald Fisher, PE, Public Works Director at (503) 838-1212 or email at gfisher@ci.independence.or.us.
