The city of Independence is updating its Park System Master Plan to improve our parks and meet the needs of our growing community. We’re looking at current amenities and planning for future upgrades, including funding strategies.
What is a Park System Plan?
A roadmap for meeting the park needs of our growing community. It looks at and assesses current amenities and plans for future upgrades, including implementation, phasing, and funding strategies.
Why is it important?
It is used to prioritize public resources and funding to make sure money and time is spent in the most impactful way. It will help ensure that improvements are consistent with community needs and priorities.
