Yesterday, we had the pleasure of welcoming students from the Central School District to the Independence Civic Center!
They toured our Planning and Police departments, explored a patrol vehicle, and took a historic walking tour near downtown. They also participated in mock City Council meetings where they debated budget priorities and passed an ordinance requiring people to pick up their dog poop.
We love connecting with the next generation of civic leaders and giving them a behind-the-scenes look at how their city works.
