The City of Independence’s Adopt-A-Street program gives businesses, families, service groups and individuals a chance to care for a specific road or trail within the city.
Adopt-A-Street members participate in cleanup efforts at their adopted sites on a semi-annual basis (at least two times per year). Cleanups are scheduled by each group/individual at their convenience. Groups will have signs designating their adopted road/trail after the third cleanup effort.
