In addition to the alternatives listed on your citation, The City of Independence has a program to allow offenders to correct specific violations and have the violation(s) dismissed through the Correctable Violations Program (also called the Fix-it-ticket program)

You are not required to participate in this program. This program is provided to you as an option and is completely voluntary. If you choose not to participate in the Traffic Court Correctable Violation Program, you must appear at your previously assigned court date and time. This information can be found at the bottom of your citation.

NOTICE: You are only eligible for this program if you have not been convicted of or had the same violation dismissed through the City of Independence Correctable Violation program within the last 12 months. You must present the brochure with your citation to be eligible.
