You may have noticed contract work has restarted on the C Street sewer line replacement project. This decades-old line has reached the end of its useful life, necessitating improvements. The project will replace the sewer main, manholes, and laterals within public rights of way and install cleanouts at property lines. 
Construction will proceed in one phase, starting at the east end and finishing at the west end of C Street. Work near Independence Elementary School is expected to be completed before classes begin. There is no additional cost to residents as the project is funded by existing sewer rates.
Construction work hours are 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Expect temporary road closures, steel plates over trenches, and rough road surfaces from temporary asphalt patches until permanent paving is complete. Please be alert for flaggers and traffic control devices guiding you through the construction zone.
