Celebrating the act of helping and making a positive impact

Let’s Celebrate The Essence of Volunteering

Volunteering with the City of Independence is more than just an opportunity to give back; it’s a chance to build meaningful connections and make a tangible impact. Whether you’re helping maintain parks, assisting in local events, or supporting city departments, each task contributes to the well-being and vibrancy of our community. Additionally, volunteers often gain valuable experience, develop new skills, and enjoy a sense of accomplishment.

We encourage everyone who is interested to consider the wide array of volunteer roles available. By working together, we can create a stronger, more connected Independence.
