Recently, city staff conducted an on-site visit to Sunset Meadows Park, currently under construction, to assess the proposed placement of landscaping and nature play equipment. The area is marked by large mounds of dirt, indicating where grass has been removed, and primary power conduits are being installed in preparation for connection to a junction box. These power connections will allow for the installation of lighting along the park’s pathway.
We kindly remind residents that this area, located at 889 Maple Street, is an active construction site and is off-limits for public safety. Please avoid entering the site.
The city of Independence eagerly anticipates the completion of Sunset Meadows Park, scheduled for October 2024.
