SEPTEMBER 2026

  • An officer observed a driver texting while driving near Ash Creek Elementary School. The driver was found to have a suspended license and no insurance and was unable to provide identification. The driver was cited for driving while suspended, driving without insurance, and cellphone use, and the vehicle was towed.
  • Officers responded to a physical altercation that began after a minor vehicle crash. Two men exchanged words before one kicked the other in the stomach, and the two then fought until bystanders broke up the altercation. Neither person was injured or wanted to pursue charges.
  • Officers responded to a report of a woman screaming and throwing items. She was experiencing a panic attack and reported struggling with her mental health. She also reported that her medications had been flushed down the toilet and that the father of her two-month-old child had taken the child and left without a car seat. Officers contacted the man at his parents’ home and learned he was under a no-contact condition with the woman. He reported concerns about threats she had made toward herself and the child. The man was taken into custody at the request of his probation officer, and the woman was transported for an evaluation.
  • Officers arrested an individual on two counts of physical harassment following an alcohol-related disturbance involving family members. The individual had reportedly started a physical altercation with his sister, her boyfriend, and a 14-year-old family member. Child welfare authorities were contacted regarding the juvenile.
  • Multiple residents reported seeing a vehicle traveling approximately 60 to 70 mph through their neighborhood. Officers were familiar with the vehicle due to previous traffic complaints and reports of excessive engine revving. Officers contacted the vehicle’s owner, who received a criminal citation for reckless driving.
  • Officers investigated repeated reports of a man screaming obscenities and loudly banging on metal at a residence. Officers made several attempts to speak with the man and have him come outside peacefully. Several days later, officers located him riding a bicycle and took him into custody on two counts of Escape III and Disorderly Conduct II.
  • Officers responded to a domestic dispute that became physical. The victim reported being struck by items thrown during the argument and suffered a split lip. The suspect was transported to jail on charges of physical harassment and misdemeanor Assault IV.
  • A woman reported leaving her purse at a local restaurant. Security footage showed a child picking up the purse before leaving with a parent. Officers later contacted the parent, who produced the victim’s identification, purse, wallet, and bracelet. Officers cited the individual for Theft II.
  • Officers arrested an individual for misdemeanor Assault IV following an argument with a domestic partner. The individual was accused of slamming the victim into a counter during the altercation.
