During the latest Central School District board meeting, Independence city staff and Mayor McArdle received commendation for their pivotal involvement during the district’s recent network disruption. Our staff assisted connecting federal law enforcement agencies with the district, as well as involved Information Technology support.

Superintendent Jennifer Kubista expressed gratitude, stating, “Thank you for nurturing our valuable relationship.”

Additionally, Western Oregon University, Willamette Education Service District, and MINET were acknowledged for their support in aiding the district. Their assistance included providing hot spots to schools, facilitating uninterrupted payroll processing, and opening technology labs for printing purposes.

The city of Independence takes great pride in fostering collaborative partnerships with local agencies across our community, working together for the betterment and advancement of our community’s well-being.
