The City of Independence proudly founded and produced Indy Days for many years as a signature community celebration.

Beginning in 2026, event operations were transitioned to Friends of Community Parks, a local organization now responsible for planning and producing the event.

The City of Independence remains a proud supporter of the event and continues to partner in its success.
