The Independence Library is home to many books, videos, computers, and hours of adventurous fun. Part of the Chemeketa Cooperative Regional Library Service (CCRLS), library patrons have access to approximately one million items through the CCRLS service, which is comprised of 17 libraries all located in the Polk, Marion, and Yamhill counties.

Our staff are committed to enriching lives, igniting curiosity, and creating connections in the community. The Independence Library will provide equal access to information, works of imagination, and public space, offering resources and services that support educational success, economic development, and an overall quality no matter who you are.
