Earlier this week, the Independence Civic Center received a beautiful donation in the form of handcrafted artwork from local artist Pam Serra-Wenz. The painting depicts an overhead shot of Independence, with the roaring Willamette River complimenting the vibrancy of the city colors.
Pam’s artwork, along with rotating exhibits from over 70 local artists, can be found at the River Gallery on Main Street in Independence. Consider stopping in and supporting local artists when you’re downtown, and the next time you’re in the civic center, keep an eye out for more work from local artists featured throughout our halls, waiting areas, and event spaces.
