Notice of Budget Committee Meeting for the City of Independence, Oregon
A public meeting of the Budget Committee of the City of Independence, Polk County, State of Oregon, to discuss the budget for the fiscal year July 1, 2026 to June 30, 2027, will be held at City Hall, 555 S. Main Street. The meeting will take place on April 15, 2026, at 6:30 pm. The purpose of the meeting is to receive the budget message and to receive comment from the public on the budget.
This is a public meeting where deliberation of the Budget Committee will take place. Any person may appear at the meeting and discuss the proposed programs with the Budget Committee. The meeting will also be livestreamed on our YouTube channel, http://www.youtube.com/c/CityofIndependenceOR.
A copy of the budget document may be inspected or obtained on or after April 16, 2026 on the city’s website: www.ci.independence.or.us or at city hall, 555 South Main Street, between the hours of 7:30 am and 5:30 pm. To provide comments in advance of the meeting, please email them to the City at CouncilComments@ci.independence.or.us no later than 5:00 pm, April 14, 2026.
