Independence’s first park, included in the original town platt in the 1800’s, Pioneer Park is located at the corner of Seventh Street and C Street. The park is also located at the junction of the South Fork and Main Stem of Ash Creek and features an intact native riparian zone.
The park has picnic tables, a playground and offers a beautifully shaded area nestled among tall, mature trees.
