Contractors are currently engaged in upgrading the waterline infrastructure at the north end of Riverview Park located within the bark chip section of the Willamette River Trail. This work is part of the broader Polk Well #4 improvement project aimed at enhancing water access and distribution in the city. Access to the bark chip section of the trail is temporarily restricted but will be restored and accessible within the next few days.
In the interim, we kindly urge trail users to utilize the paved portion of the Willamette River Trail for their safety and convenience. Thank you for your patience and cooperation during this important phase of infrastructure enhancement in the city of Independence.
