Earlier this week, city staff took attendees of the Governor’s Conference on Tourism on a captivating tour of Independence’s notable areas. These participants, hailing from various corners of Oregon and even internationally, engaged in discussions led by a diverse panel of speakers, including representatives from the Independence Hotel, Parallel 45 Brewing, and Tokola Properties. The panel discussions delved into their reasons for choosing Independence, insights into their respective markets, and the promising opportunities that lie ahead.

Moreover, guests had the opportunity to engage with Indy Idea Hub, explore the Independence Heritage Museum, and enjoy a delightful ride aboard the MI Trolley to our sister city of Monmouth.

Such visits underscore the growing significance of tourism for both our city and the broader region. We hope to see you all back in Independence!
